Accessibility

Updated September 27, 2026

We want everyone in New Rochelle to be able to use this site. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We are not claiming we meet that standard yet — this page will be updated once a full accessibility review is complete.

What we do today

Evidence labels on the City Assessment pages use words, not color alone. Motion is reduced automatically if your device is set to reduce motion. We are working to make every page fully usable with a keyboard alone.

Known gaps

Some older graphics on The Wall are images without a full text description. Documents we link to, such as City reports and PDFs, are published by others and may not be fully accessible. A full accessibility review, including keyboard and screen-reader testing, has not been completed yet.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, tell us the page and what happened, and how you would like the information. Write to GOPNEWRO@gmail.com, or write to PO Box 53, New Rochelle, NY 10804.
